Is A Delay In Menstruation A Sign Of Menopause?

Hi, I'm 46 and a mother of three. I have always had a pretty regular cycle but still have not started yet. My last cycle was the last week of nov. and it's now the middle of January. Am I beginning to going through menopause? I haven't had any symptoms like hot flashes or bed sweats. Not sure if I should be worried at all. Just curious. Thought it was free to ask. Sorry

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your last period was at last week of november.
Your symptoms could be due to perimenopause: it refers to menopause transition years, a time before and after the date of the final episode of flow.
postmenopausal is called when women who have not experienced any menstrual flow for a minimum of 12 months.
So you are bothersome then you should go for reproductive hormone analysis to confirm menopause.
Symptoms are not presents in all women
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
