Is A Bump On The Head With Pain A Concern For A Pregnant Woman?

We are taking clothes lines down in our back yard. I didn t relieze my wife was as close as she was and I went to pull one the clothes line bar and hit her in the head. She is about 18 weeks pregnant should we be worried. She has a small bump and a head ache.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the headache persists then she may need to be assessed particularly if there are any other symptoms such as vomiting, increased drowsiness, seizures, loss of consciousness.

If any of these occur then she should see her doctor for an assessment which would include physical examination.

A cold compress to the bump on the head would be helpful

I hope this helps
