Is Wellbutrin Or Seroquel A Better Option Of Effexor?

Hi, I m on vacation and forgot to pack my Effexor. It s too far to go back home and I don t know the prescription number to have my pharmacy send some to where I am. My only option is to take some of my husband s Welbutrin or take some Seraquil I have left over from when I used to take it. Which do you think would be the better option?

Hello
Welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
it is not advisable to replace the molecule which is originally prescribed by psychiatrist, changing the molecules may cause the unwanted side effect, more over you do not have valid reason to change the drug, though all the three drugs including you where taking used for major depression but their mode of action are different even the dose also greatly differs.
Hope I have answered your query, let me know for further assistance.
