Is TKR Surgery Safe While Having Clot In Calf Muscle?
I am scheduled for a TKR (actually a TKR revision and my 4th surgery since last October), but I have blood clot in my calf of the leg to operated upon. I have been taking Pradaxa since the discovery of the clot 2weeks ago. My question is should I go ahead with the TKR surgery if I still have the clot?
Hi Welcome to healthcaremagic I have gone through your query and understand your concern. As you are already having clot so it is advisable to not go for TKR operation as THR operation increases chances of blot so complicating the situation. So first take treatment of blood clot. You can discuss with your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
