Hello, I have had TOS since 1976, which included 5 major surgeries. The 1st and 2 rib were removed and a splenectomy was performed on the right side as well. In the beginning the pain was well controlled with Tylenol & Codeine #3 & Valium (5 mg). As the years have gone by and 2 more rear end car accidents I am now taking 10mg of Norco. About 20 yrs ago the Doctor s took me off Valium as it is additive and put me on Soma. Last year the Doctors have now taken me off Soma as it is additive and put me on 10mg Valium. I am not doing as well as I did on the Soma and the Doctor s refuse to discuss why I can not be on the Soma again. Can you tell me why, is Soma more additive than Valium or am I missing somthing?
