Is Skinlite Cream Advisable For Tanning On The Face?

Hi One of the doctor has suggested my cousin to use SKINLITE cream for dark patches in his skin. I do have a tanned skin. I have a wheat brownish skin. So I too thought of trying with this skinlite . But I can see the skin tone changing in some areas. Please let me know whether I can use it further to get complexion or should I have to stop it.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain I would like to inform you that Skinlite cream is a steroid based cream containing Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Mometasone Furoate..
Steroid creams initially shows wonderful effects on face by reducing pigmentation and brightening the face..
But long term use has severe side effects like skin thinning, pimples, inflammation, rashes, itching, excess hairgrowth and dilated veins under the skin..
Also on long term use the skin becomes addicted or dependant on steroids and once the use is suddenly stopped, there are withdrawal side effects and it is the same thing that you are facing now that is increased pigmentation, rashes, swelling, redness etc..
So I would not suggest you to use Skinlite without consulting a Dermatologist and if you use also it is advised for a short time..

For long term use safer products should be used..
You can start using her safe depigmentation creams and facewash like salicylic acid and glycolic acid containing facewash, kojic acid, arbutin and glycolic acid creams etc..
Exfoliate your skin twice a week.
You should always use sunscreen lotion when exposed to sun..

You can also go for treatments like Photofacial, glycolic acid peels and Microdermabrasion..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
