Is Seroquel Advisable For Alzheimer Patients?

Should Seroquel be given to Alzheimer patients? Our mother has Alzheimer and has been prescribed Seroquel to stabilize her. When the assisted living facility failed to give it to her, she went completely off the rails, hallucinating, screaming, not able to stand or eat. she is 95 and appeared to be at the end stage of life. Once she was in Seroquel again for 3 days she was stabilized.
