Is Rifampicin A Neccessary Drug For TB?

I have tb in lymph nodes.I have been taking AKT4 for 13 days now . But from last 3 days,The rifampicin dose has been causing severe itching , last for about 3 hours. What could be causing it? Also is rifampicin a necessary drug for tb treatment. If someone what should I do?

I really appreciate your concern, itching symptom could be temporary and soon will be vanished, it could be due to AKT, if the symptoms persist then it is advisable to see the doctor for management but no need to worry bout this most of the time it is the temporary phase hope this information helps.
