General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Pottasium permanganate is not a safe medicine because of its toxicity. You can do warm saline gargles. If symptoms persist, consult an ENT physician and start on antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
