Is Permethrin Cream The Right Medicine For Scabies?
I somehow was attacked by scabies. 4 days ago I went to the doctor and they prescribed me permethrin cream and my family, we cleaned everything good. I still feel like bugs are crawling on me every once in a while and have gotten a couple new bumps. Is that normal or should I go back to the doctor
Permethrin cream is one of the first medicines prescribed by doctors to cure a scabies infestation.
Research show that permethrin is effective.A single application of permethrin cream cures most scabies infestations. Itching usually decreases significantly within 24 hours.
Itching commonly continues for up to several weeks after treatment with a scabies medicine. This doesn't mean that the scabies mites are still alive but means that the body is still reacting to the mites and their feces.
Hope this helps Kind regards, Dr.Mersi
