Is PSA Value Of 9.3 A Cause For Concern?

I have a friend who had colon cancer 5 years ago and had a 12 inch resection. His PSA number has gone from 7.3 to 9.3 in the last 6 months. He will have an mri next week. One year ago he had a negative prostate biopsy. Should he worry about the colon cancer as well as prostate?

psa is prostate specific antigen. it is not related to colon cancer.. slight increase can be prostitis or uti. can repeat psa and take ultrasound of prostate.if any sign of obstruction then consult urologist.
