Is PSA Value Of 1.23 A Cause For Concern?

My fasting Blood sugar lvel is always more than the P.P.Sugar lvel. Yesterday I got all tested and now the Fasting is 135,P.P-95, HbA1C=6.1. I am taking medicine for the last 20 years for Type 2 Diabtes. Also for my prostate tset, earlier in 2015, PSA- was 1.11, now it is 1.23. Are these caus of concern and if so what r the remedies?

Hello,

I am glad to know that you are conscious about health and seeking timely expert advice. Your PSA levels are normal and nothing to worrying, If you are above 60, kindly repeat your PSA every year, if it goes beyond 5, then we can evaluate further, else no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
