Is PSA Level Of 0.81 Normal After A Prostatectomy?
Hi doctor, On 29/07/16 my father had underwent Robotic assisted Radical Prostatectomy in AMIRTA Institute of Medical Sciences. After the surgery the psa level were 0.1 and now on july 1 it is 0.76 and had a recheck again in july 24 the psa level is 0.81. Is that normal? Are there is a need of psma pet scan?
Yes, since PSA is slowly rising, it may be a case of non metastatic castration resistant progression. A psma PET can be done. If no METs then radiation or Enzalutamide can be given.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
