Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have an ejection fraction at 10% to 13%. I am on the Heart transplant list. I receive oxygen at night, but they will not authorize oxygen during the day when I need it. My o2 levels during the day are 89. What s the deal. With a ejection fraction that low I should qualify on that alone and not a oxygen test. What s your opinion ??
In my opinion as you explain the situation you should take oxygen and spo 2 should be at least 92% during the day. Please discuss with your doctor for the cause you should not take oxygen.
Regards
Dr.Jolanda
