Is Oxcarbazepine 300mg Intake Recommended For A Pinched Nerve In The Neck?

My doctor prescribed OXCARBAZEPINE 300mg. Information I received from pharmacy with medication refers to seizures as a common use for this medication. I have not had any seizures. I have a pinched nerve in my neck which is also affecting my leg. Is this medication appropriate for my need?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Oxacarbazepine is an anti-epileptic drug, mainly used to control seizures. But it is also used to treat certain severe nerve pains. That is the reason why it has been prescribed. Thanks
