Is Ovunal HP 5000 Different From Ovunal SC 5000 Injection?

Is Ovunal HP 5000 different from Ovunal SC 5000 injection? I am 2 months pregnant and my doctor has suggested me to take this injection weekly for a month. Last week I got Ovunal HP 5000 injected. But this time I am only finding Ovunal SC 5000 available with chemists.

Hello,

There is no difference between the two. Ovunal HP 5000 and ovunal SC 5000 contain the same hormone human chorionic gonadotropin in the form of an injection which can be taken either subcutaneously or intramuscularly as prescribed by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
