Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that Diagnosis is quite much important and it seems your child has not been diagnosed still. Steroids are as much as safe for the child as much in adults, you need to know about side effects. The pattern of rashes and their appearance would definitely give a clue. I understand Hives have formed there. Although I could not understand the need for Azithromycin as we should use antibiotics judiciously and in selected cases of infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
