Is Methylprednisolone Effective In The Treatment Of Bronchitis?
I was treated 11-7-2017 with amoxicillon fir a sinus infection and bronchitis. 12-1-2017 the provider said that the bronchitis did not get cleared up so he gave me a 6-pack steroid called MethylPredniSolone and cough syrup. How effective is the steroid in clearing up the bronchitis? Also can I take a Unisom sleeping gel tonight to get rest?

Methyl predisone is a steroid preparation &does have excellent effect in controlling bronchitis.Only thing is that it should be taken under phsician's care with prescried tappering dose .
It is the medication highly effective but 0also is habbit forming ... also having various side effects when taken for a long course short/ tappering dose is without disadvantage & most useful in non healing bronchitis.
