Is Meloxicam Effective In The Treatment Of Arthritis?
I just had several x rays of my neck shoulders upper & lower back, both hip, knees and hands. My Doctor diagnosed me with severe arthritis and gave me a shot of cortisone in my right shoulder about 5 days ago which has bought absolutely no relief. My neighbor tells me she takes Meloxicam 15mg which works pretty well for her. Any thoughts on how it might work for me?

Hello, Meloxicam, is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. It is used in the treatment of various types of arthritis including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout. It may be useful in controlling paina nd swelling. But if steroid injection itself has not helped then I am not sure whether this drug can be of much help. Thanks.
