Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Arachnoid cysts are generally believed to be anatomical entities present from birth and they mostly do not cause problems. Radiation therapy is absolutely of no avail in treating such cysts and Keppra could be useful to you if your symptoms are related to seizure activity....which may or may not be a CONSEQUENCE of the cyst.

It really depends on how big the cyst is, where exactly it's located, and if it's really causing pressure or mass effect to develop which could be triggering seizures.

But, before putting a patient on Keppra (or any drug), I would do testing and be as sure as possible that I have the right diagnosis since the medicine can cause side effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi
