Is Kenalog Injection Advisable For Recurring Hay Fever?

hello, i have suffered with hay fever for 16 years now, and it gets to the point of loss of sight, fully blocked nose and constant sneazing, however, for the past 10 years i have had a 80mg injection of kenalog which covers the full season, i have had no side effects and no bad reactions to this, i received a letter from my local doctors saying that if i understood the risks of the injection then it would be there as a last resort for me, yet they now tell me that it has been discontinued and no longer available, yet people i know are still getting kenalog for muscular treatment, please can i have some varification on this matter, thank you.

Hi,

Kenalog is a steroid and steroids are to be used as a last resort, if nothing helps much. In my opinion, you should take an anti-allergic like Cetirizine or Levocetirizine along with a decongestant like Pseudoephedrine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
