General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Keflex is a cephalosporin group of antibiotic which is not effective against Methicillin resistant staph aureus. So this drug is not useful for resistant strains of staph aureus. If I were your doctor I will change to drug which is effective against Methicillin resistant Staph aureus.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Palleti Sujith Kumar,
