Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor.. I had an unprotected intercorse with my gf on 4th June and she had an I-pill just after an hour of it. Her period date was on the 26th of June in which she did not get it. I have heared that after having the pill periods delay from 10-15 days of the actual date. She also did the urine test and it was negative twice. I suggested her to hv raw papaya, green olive and even black coffee. And it s the 6th of July now but still no symptoms. Someone has suggested to have MP Forte to prevent pregnancy and after research it seems it is of no help. Please guide us the best way out as we are helpless. Thank you.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
I pill is effective in preventing pregnancy. Best when taken within 24 hours of sex and she had taken it in time.
Apart from this, her ovulation was unlikely to be at the time of said sex. So don't be stressed. No need of topping up with other medications. That will postpone periods further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
