Is HIV Transmission Possible Upon Contact With Inanimate Objects?

A few months ago I stepped on a fishing hook while on vacation. I have been worried that it may have been possible to contract HIV if the person using the hook had poked him/herself. Is this a possible way to transmit the virus?
Then just today while out shopping I pricked my finger on a security pin used in clothing. Again worried. Are either of these things to worry about?

it is not possible. it requires exchange of body fluid through injury point.simple touching or sitting with infected person does not facilitate contracting HIV.
