Hi,

The reference range for gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) is 0-30 IU/L.

Sambong forte is a herbal preparation and its intake with potassium citrate is not known to elevate GGT levels.

Gamma-glutamyl transferase is an inducible enzyme. It is induced by alcohol intake. If you are habituated taking alcohol, it might be the reason for its increase.

Since it has increased more than 3 to 4 fold above normal, it is advisable to get an ultrasound scan of the abdomen done.

Consult Physician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
