Is Epidural Treatment Advisable For Degenerative Arthritis In Spine?

I had an MRI this past week on my neck...was told that I have degenerative arthritis in the C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. I am scheduled for an epidural next week. What is the success rate of this treatment? My pain is quite severe down under my shoulder blace, down under my arm to my elbow...tingling and numbness in my little and ring finger. The pain and spasms especially driving a car are awful.
