Hi .
Dolonex DT contains piroxicam. It inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins which r responsible for inflammatory pain in body. It is usually used for lower back pain, osteoarthritis, muscle pain, ear pain, pain during menstruation. It is an effective drug. Side effects may include diarrhoea, indigestion, constipation, headache, vomiting, abdominal pain. But these r rare. It may alter liver enzyme levels, but has no effect on uric acid levels. Probably it was done for suspicious arthritis causing backache and rectal pain. The uric acid level is normal.
Hopefully u will improve with this drug. Also rule out constipation...if present take laxatives.
