Is Cymbalta Safe To Be Taken For Demyelinating Disease?
I have a demylenating disease. I ll be 65 in April. I ve been taking 60 MG of cymbalta at night for the last 18 months. I ve passed all cognitive tests. I still work full time as a writer and editor. However, I have concerns about continuing with this drug at my age.
Incomplete data like purpose for which Cymbalta is being prescribed.
Cymbalta (Duloxetine) is a selective serotonin and nor-epinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) used for treating depression, anxiety disorder, and painful nerve conditions associated with diabetes or fibromyalgia.
As per the study done, Duloxetine can be taken safely while suffering from demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis as it is found to have a direct pain-relieving effect in such conditions.
Hope this answers your query.
