General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, it can be taken safely while having diabetes. Collaflex contains collagen peptide, glucosamine and vitamin C as active ingredients that promote tissue repair and help in the healing process of the ligaments.

Glucosamine is a different type of sugar that does not appear to affect glucose levels or insulin sensitivity hence can be taken while taking medications for diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
