Is Colchicine Advisable For Severe Pain In The Toe?

I have strong indications that I am experiencing gout in by big toe. This is the second time I have had this situation. It is Sunday evening and I am experiencing sever pain. I have the a few tablet of colchicine o.6mg. The last time I had same I was started on two tabs in morning and two tabs in evening. I will contact my doctor first thing in the morning, but would like to know if it would be reasonable to take two tonight to reduce increasing swilling and pain? my e-mail is YYYY@YYYY My name is Beverly Fields and phone# is 530-622-4440. Colchicine is used for gout.
Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track.
If symptoms persist you can consult a rheumatologist and get evaluated.
