Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would like to tell you that hypertension control is very important in kidney disease and all depends on which medication is suiting you better with a good control of blood pressure.

If your blood pressure is well controlled with your current medication then a change is not advisable. You can also consult your treating Nephrologist as he personally knows your health condition and will advise you better.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind regards,

Dr. Bhanu Partap
