Is CPAP The Only Option For Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

I have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. However, I have snored since I was very young and I have difficulty breathing through my nose when lying down. I feel as though I cannot breathe deeply enough. If I raise my arm up over my head I am able to breathe easier. My ENT insists my only option is to become dependent on a CPAP. I feel there is something else going on. I am not overweight and apparently always breathed through my mouth as noted by my dentists.
