Is Atorvastatin The Cause For Stiffness And Pain In The Joints?

I am on atorvastatin 40mg and since started about 2 months ago I have moderate to severe stiffness and pain in all my joints, groin etc. Am almost unable to pick something up of the floor.Have always been very fit without any of these symptoms and pain. Have looked up this medicine on the internet and th amount of side effects scare me. Should I talk to my GP who put me on it. I do have a history of Ita,s. Last one some 10 years ago.

yes it is good idea to see your GP again .

Usually GP or any physician should have a baseline LFTs and check again after 2 months LFTs after starting atorvastatin .

common side effects are muscle pain and aches with statin group

but joint pains can be associated with this.
