Is Asthalin Drug Safe In Children For Breathing Issues?

Hello, I am going to travel tmsango lake next week with my 6yrs old son. For safety I have bought asthalin and a mask for him in case of any breathing problem. Fortunately he is not having such problem but in high altitude low oxygen level can cause such problem. My question is asthalin will be fine for him or not. Please recommend.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern. Asthalin is a very safe drug which is routinely used in children with asthma.
for higher altitudes we would require oxygen rather than asthalin(salbutamol). arranging for small cylinders of oxygen is rather more beneficial and you can carry asthalin inhalers along with it.
asthalin will be helpful if only broncho constriction or wheeze is present.

i would advise to get a routine evaluation of your son with a pediatritian prior to the visit.

Hope i have answered your query. Have a nice day
