Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Chlamydia usually causes infection of urinary tract mainly the urethra. Lab diagnosis is done based on microscopy of the urethral discharge. There are cells called neutrophils which are white blood cells which help fight infection in the body. They increase in number if there is infection. In infection caused by chlamydia the number of neutrophils are counted and more than 4-10 cells per field is indicative of infection. It is easily treatable. Please complete the full course of therapy prescribed.
Wishing you speedy recovery.
Thanks.
