Infant Taking Crocin And Meftal For Fever. What Is The Right Dosage Of Meftal?
Hi My son is running fever since last night. I gave him Crocin DS twice over 4 hour interval but it did not bring down the fever. After that I gave him 3ml Meftal-P. His age is 1yr 7 month and he is 10 Kg. What is the correct dosage of Meftal-P / Kg and how often should it be given? Is there anything else i should do?

You can give Meftal P in the dose of 25 mg/Kg /day in three divided doses.
You can give it every 8 hours.
In addition , you can do tepid sponging.
Give enough fluids to keep him well hydrated.
