I'm a 50yr old male, was diagnosed with Crohn,s in 1993. Second surgery was in 2011,and since then I,ve been battling "chronic diarrhea"... yet, my colonoscopies have been coming up clean.
I'm taking 'numerous' medications, for other ailments; one being, trouble falling asleep. I take perscribed meds, and I take a few over-the-counter meds for this.
Well, to get to the point: I've been told that I may have developed a condition called "Serotonin Syndrome or Serotonin Toxicity". If that is the case, how would this effect G.I Tract?...
Since 2011, the number of 'Bowel Movements' have been progressively increased! I started with 5 to 8 BMs. a day... I'm now up to 8 to 12 ! And, again, lately my Colonoscopies have been coming back as having a healthy G.I. tract! Me and my GI doctor are running out of options....
If you need more information, or details of my condition, let me know... If you are unable to answer this question, please refer me to someone who may be able to help.
Thank you for your time... I look forward to your reply,
