I'm a 17 year old female, I weigh 125 pounds, I am around 5'2". Two days ago I started noticing thick white vaginal discharge in my underwear, it doesn't smell fishy but it has a strong scent, and its consistency is similar to mashed potatoes. I take birth control (Luteral Tablets 28S) so I'm not supposed to ovulate, and usually I don't, but I was worried that I had begun ovulating, because a week before I noticed the discharge, I was put on Sulfameth/TMP to treat a UTI, and was told from online sources that this could make birth control ineffective. I was informed by other sources that Sulfameth/TMP does not affect birth control, so now I'm unsure whether or not this is discharge from ovulation. What could this discharge possibly be?
