Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Pain In The Leg After A Hip Replacement Surgery?
I m 60, excellent health and physically active. I had my left hip replaced almost 4 months ago, no issues and returned to physical activity 6 weeks post op. Now however, I am experiencing a dull but persistant pain in the opposite leg after standing or walking less than 10 minutes. What is the cause and remedy?
Maybe you had the disease in the opposite hip also which is becoming apparent. Another possibility is that you are putting more load on the opposite side causing pain. I suggest X-ray of the other hip and consult your orthopedic surgeon also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
Orthopedic Surgeon
