If my husband has a potential slipped or ruptured disc

If my husband has a potential slipped or ruptured disc in his back, we need an MRI. The hospital in our town recommended one but doesn't have the machine but the bigger hospital in the bigger city nearby needs a recommendation from a primary care to give him one. We can't get into his primary care for 2 weeks. What do we do

Hi, I have a L4-L5 herniated+ruptured disc. The herniation is 8mm in the center (very slightly left). I m having leg pain for 5 years (left leg) and low back pain both sides. I m scheduled for microdisectomy and my question is: is it more dificult or more dangerous the microdisectomy when the disc is slipped in the middle? Thank you very much. Viorica

My husband had an MRI. His doctor got the radiology report and told him it just showed two bulging discs which he has had all his life. He wasn t getting better after a month and it was excruciating so he made an appointment with a surgeon who looked at the disk from the mri and told him he had a ruptured disc that was leaking spinal fluid on the nerve sacs and did emergency surgery immediately. We went back to our other doctor again and had him look at the report again and again he said the radiology report doesn t show a ruptured disc, so I called the radiologist and they said that the statement multiple posterior annual tears means a ruptured disc. I want to know who is wrong here. This should have been caught immediately.
