I Was Taking Doxycycline About A Month And A Half

I was taking Doxycycline about a month and a half ago for adult hormonal acne (I had previously taken this before with no issues.) I asked my doctor to add Spironolactone to the regimen because I had been reading a lot of success stories for it treating hormonal acne well.
About a week and a half after I started the Spiro, I began to develop many side effects including a rash on most of my body, especially the face. A couple of days after I noticed the rash, I decided to look up the potential side effects for Spiro and was amazed when I discovered that I was experiencing about 8-10 of them. I immediately stopped both the Spiro and the Doxycycline. The rash seemed to be clearing up, so when I saw the prescribing doc about a week later for a different issue, I mentioned the rash and other side effects, and he just said that he'd never heard of anyone getting a rash from Spiro. We didn't discuss it further because I thought it was mostly going away.
Then about a week after that, the rash started coming back, first on my face and then later on my arms, legs and back again. I had taken one Doxycycline pill the day before the rash started again. When the rash returned, I decided to look up the side effects of the Doxy, and low and behold, it had almost identical side effects as the Spiro including the rash.
I didn't take any more of the Doxycycline at that time. The rash seemed to be clearing up again a few days later, but it has returned once again in the last week or so.
I'm curious if it does turn out that the Spiro caused the rash, would I not be able to take Doxycycline now either? I'm even worried about taking Ibuprofen because it also can react like the Spiro and cause the rash. What are your thoughts?
Also, I have been trying to decipher exactly which rash the Spiro gave me so as to treat my symptoms as much as I can until I can get in to see a doc. The only one that I have found that Spiro causes that makes sense with my symptoms is Lichen Planus. This could be completely wrong, but the lesions I have and the fact that it can come and go inevitably make me think that's what I'm dealing with. The other rashes I found that could be reactions from Spiro all were much more serious than what I've been dealing with, and they all seemed to start with a fever which o never had. I have been trying to get into a dermatologist since this began, but since I didn't have one to begin with, the earliest I can be seen is in 2 weeks. Meanwhile I've got this rash that leaves sores all over my face that have already started scarring, and I'm itchy a lot and just generally miserable because my face looks so much worse than it did when I was just dealing with the acne. The original sores have mostly healed to be replaced with new sores, but they left scars all over my body. Does this sound like Lichen Planus to you? Or are you aware of any other rashes that Spiro can cause that don't begin with a fever?
This is driving me mad having no clue what I have or what to do about it. I might try a walk in clinic tomorrow to see a regular doctor just to get some answers and for piece of mind. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
