I Was Taking Amlodipine Prescribed By My Nephrologist. My Cardiologist

I was taking Amlodipine prescribed by my nephrologist. My cardiologist changed this to Losartan Potassium because I was developing edema, especially in my lower legs, ankles, and feet, plus unexpectedly gaining weight. I got the bottle and noticed the POTASSIUM part of the new drug. I have hyperkalemia. Can I or should I take this medication? My kidneys have been functioning at only 25%.
