Suggest A Safe Drug To Take For Alleviating Seizures

I was taking 300 mg twice Dailey. My primary dr found by sodium level at 123 after telling me to stop drinking my excessive water. I could not get my neurologist to call me back Friday so my primary told me to cut my dosage on half now I want to try to get on another drug for my seizures and I’m thinking of trying keppra again. Any suggestions of a safe drug. I have a rash on my legs also with oxcarbazapine.

Hello,

Keppra is quite a safe drug in your clinical situation. I recommend increasing salt intake in order to increase sodium levels.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
