I was recently in the hospital after a fainting spell, brought on by a weak heart (I have long qt syndrome (I went into cardiac arrest in 2012 and now have a pacemaker and defibrillator.......I am 48 yrs old). Anyway, I was hospitalized and they were giving me some medication to build back my strength. My electrolytes were all off as well. Come to find out after some testing that I had c-diff and mercer...... Both which are gone except for some residual stomach pain from the c-diff. ANYWAY, my question is THIS........over the ,,.9 or 10 days in the hospital, they fed my all sorts of Mede to fix me up one way or another. They wouldn't let me get any excessive for fear I'd fall. AS A RESULT I've gained 27 pounds of pure water weight...... Edema.......in 10 days I've had 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich and about 5 celery sticks. My thighs and other areas are so bloated I don't know WHAT TO DO!!! My legs are practically too heavy to lift to try an excessive them. I did not think it was humanly possible to retain 27 pounds of water in 9-10 days!!!!!!! HOW IN HELL DO I DRAIN, REMOVE, GET RID OF, ELIMINATE all that water from my system. Excersize is not working because the weight of the water is overwhelming, and I end up extremely short of breath. Not good with a defibrillator and pacemaker. what can I do? What can I take that will help? And how long will it take to shed TWENTY SEVEN pounds of water weight????? Help Me! PLEASE!!!!!!!
