I was in the hospital for sepsis a couple of years ago. Ever since then I have the worst fatigue and run low grade temperatures ranging from 99.3 - 99.6 with bone pain. I followed up with infectious disease and they said they couldn't find anything. I recently saw my primary MD and had a blood work up and everything was fine. My next step is to see a nutritionist. I am quite concerned because this is really effecting my work. I could fall to sleep just about any time. I don't have as much time to exercise as I like however I think it really helps. I'm so discouraged.

How hard is it to catch SEPSIS? My mother (92 yrs) was being treated for UTI and C-DIFF. The hospital changed treatments to treating her for SEPSIS. In general I had a plastic cover over arms and groves. One of the times in which I did not have protective clothes, I was in contact with her arm and head. I in turn washed my hands. Another time I would touch her with groves and then touch my knee are pants, touch my head. I never touch any body fluids. I also, have grandchildren I do not want to inflect. Dewey

I was recently diagnosed with sepsis, asked to return to hospital where I stayed for 3 days as was treated with I don t know what. I was released with an antibiotic Ceftlin 500 mg q 12 hrs. Apparently the sepsis was brought on by urinary tract or kidney infection, not sure. I m a diabetic (2) and I just want to know if Ceftin is a good antibiotic for this illness.. and how long will it take before I should feel better?
