Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was in an auto accident 4 years ago December/ 12/10. Had a disc impending in my spinal cordnT7 T8. Neurosurgeons would not do surgery on me due to not living to make it off the table. They were going to have to go through the sternum work around the heart and lungs. Thank God one of the Dr. new another Dr. who invented the surgery and on Dec. 17 2014 I had the less invasive surgery. I still have pain but the suicidal pain is gone. My lower back and down my legs and my neck and shoulders I am still having problems with. I am in Physical therapy at the present. since the surgery I have been having dizziness that is worse when I turn my head to the left. the ringing in my ears is so bad I can't hardly hear and I have dull headaches especially when I sit in a hard chair. I feel the pressure is so great in my spine and base of my heat its going to explode. I cant handle stress any more since the wreck I just fall apart. Riding in the car with others driving scares me to death. I have to play on my cell phone or do something to keep my mind of the road. my memory and concentration some days are terrible. can this be from the concussion. I got hit head on, on and icy road then they knocked me into a guard rail. It was like I had woke up from a dream. didn't feel I was out long. didn't think I was hurt until about 20 min. later and my legs felt like rubber. it was when I got back home and was looking at the television when I was seeing two TV pictures with the left being higher than the right. do I need to make an apt with a neurologist. My vision also causes me problems. Just by typing this my vision is going blurry and I am going to have to stop typing. is this all from the concussion and wreck? I didn't have any of it until the wreck.
