I was diaganosed with shingles just today on my hairline. I didn't get seen in the 72 hour window. The Dr. told me she couldn't prescribe the anti viral, but instead give me the nerve pain RX. I was with my 92 and 85 year old parents on Sunday and I noticed the rash Sunday evening of this week. My dad presented with a rash today around his mouth in the smile lines and on the right side of his face in the sideburn area. Could I have given him shingles.
Also, will the shingles vaccine do me any good after i've healed?
