I wanted to know if there is any chance of my daughters ankle getting fixed. She's in 9th grade currently (2014-2015 school year) and messed it up around this time ( November-December) of her 4th grade year ( 2009-2010 school year). During her 7th grade year, I took her to get it checked, so about 3 years ago. They told us she fractured her growth plate and that it was still messed up, and I needed to take her to an orthopedic doctor, which I did then she went to live with her father and he didn't follow up with what she was suppose to do. ( go back to orthopedist and start physical therapy). It hurts her almost 24/7, and in a few cases she has to use crutches. Her ankles always swollen and there  is a bone sticking out of her ankle, not very much exactly but still sticking out. She asked if there was anything that she could do to fix it, and I wanted to know the same. Is surgery was required, or is it too late.
