I Want To Quit For A While, How Long Does

I want to quit for a while, how long does it take someone who has smoked straight and deep into their lungs through a bong (tobacco + cannabis for 4 years, practically daily for the last 2), until they notice their symptoms starting to dissipate?
My symptoms: Excessive Mucous in throat for about a year now (foamy, yellowish in mornings, gel-like, hard to swallow, have to "hack" frequently during the day) , cough hard and deep enough and I'll see brown/black specs in the tissue. I'm experiencing small sharp lung pain (last 6-24 months) when exhaling hard, hard to get comfortable when I'm about to sleep, tossing and turning durning sleep as a result of not wanting to feel the pressure in my chest, the uncomfort just occurs randomly. Probably the worst one is lately I've been feeling like I haven't been getting 100% air I can on regular breaths. As if I have to stop and slow my heart rate down and take a few deep breaths.

Now you understand why I want to solidly quit. It will be very difficult as I am addicted to the way in which I consume this smoke, they're called poppers. It would just help me mentally if I could get an idea of when I should expect to start feeling healthy again. Oh and I'm 18 years old and have been athletic my entire life and still am.
