Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that Calchek 2.5 and Amlopin 2.5 are the same drug (amlodipine). Regarding cough, I recommend consulting with a pulmonologist and an allergologist in order to find the best drugs to help against cough. You should know that none of your current medications leads to cough. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Cardiologist Dr. Ilir Sharka's  Response
Hello,

Cough is not an adverse effect of amlodipine. For this reason, as none of your current medications is related to cough, it is necessary consulting with a pulmonologist in order to determine the cause of cough and discuss about the best treatment options. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
